Noel Leeming wanted to bring back the true spirit of Christmas among kiwis - the gift of giving - rather than the feelings of stress and ‘panic buying’ the season often inspires.
In partnership with MoreFM, hosts Jase & Lana and their elves were enlisted to help deliver good cheer around the country with their mates from Noel Leeming.
From inception to strategy through to production (and prop design!), we devised a campaign that would start on the streets around New Zealand, asking people if they would take part against another stranger in ‘cracking a cracker’ for fun. However, instead of finding throwaway plastic trinkets inside, they received an array of amazing tech gifts from Noel Leeming! That was, until they were faced with a surprise twist…
Once the video of the launch activation was posted online, the cracker game was then introduced across all stores around New Zealand, with additional content to celebrate the silly season.
