“The funniest fundraiser Cancer has ever seen!”

Wanting to find a new way to raise donations for their annual Daffodil Day collection, ANZ and The Cancer Society asked us to help. So for 2023, in collaboration with TBWA we produced a live stand-up comedy special that aired on Three and ThreeNow in August 2023.

Fronted by ANZ’s new Daffodil Day ambassador – beloved comedian Dai Henwood – we created a prime time broadcast where viewers could donate via text or QR code prompts. The show was the centre point of a wider campaign where a series of social and digital content pieces saw Dai sharing his own experiences after being diagnosed with cancer, highlighting the services the Cancer Society provides in a humorous way that would strike a chord with kiwis.

In addition, I created TV promos and digital assets to promote the live show over two phases – to drive ticket sales, and viewership to the live ‘special event’ broadcast.
